what are we thinking?
The webXpi theory is that we think that a web site search engine and directory will help those get the word out about their own web site. We believe that through this web site, average users will be able to run searches in real time, and having their results randomized in rank and size will draw users to their site by chance.
We not only wanted to promote our own web sites, products, and services, but we wanted others to be able to do the same. SEO has been a topic through affiliate marketing and Internet marketing that makes web site developers place proper meta tags in the header of their web sites. As we go through this web site, improve it, and add URLs to it, we gain a bigger understanding about how other search engines work. It's a learning experience for us to learn what affiliate programs provide to the search engines, not just ours. For instance, no title, you're not going to get listed here. We require a title so users know how to click to visit your web site. No description tag, user's will not know about what your web site is about when moving their mouse over your link.
We though randomization was an awesome way to get ideas. At the home page, just try pressing and arrow key on your keyboard, like left or right. Then you will see randomized results. This is the same thing the search engines will see as we link to your site.
Now there's a big chance that someone will see your web site and your web site is revelant to their search, there is also a chance that there will not be. When a search engine such as google indexes our site, every time it will be different, just as when you or any other person visits our site. This is because we randomize every web page with links that make our web site give you ideas on where to go. Type in some words to narrow your results, and maybe if you narrow your results, you'll find what you're looking for, if not, come back, or add a site to see how it measures up against the rest.
This has been an awesome experience for us to program, and see where it winds up. Started in November of 2008, we're a new web site, with a different, warped sense of searches and directories.
